Job position: Purchasing Engineer

Location: Kotka (Keltakalliontie 27)

Easpring Finland is developing a battery materials plant in Kotka, to respond to the rising demand for battery materials in Europe. The plant will produce cathode active material, which is needed to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles. If you are a talented Purchasing Engineer who would like to be a part of our project, we are looking for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure procurement project adheres to company policies, overseeing processes such as quotation comparison, price negotiation, and final pricing determination.

• Monitor procurement order execution, track delivery and acceptance progress, and promptly coordinate and resolve any issues or anomalies.

• Based on material demand and actual usage, proactively develop and onboard suppliers to achieve cost-reduction objectives.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in English and Finnish (fluency in Finnish is required for communication with the local suppliers).

• Familiarity with the established resources among suppliers within the EU (particularly in Nordic regions) in areas such as chemicals, logistics, waste management, testing equipment, and engineering equipment.

• Ability to conduct compliant procurement for operational projects—including workwear, transportation, waste recycling, local compliance review of suppliers, production services, SAP system-related procurement, etc.—in accordance with company requirements and regulations.
