Field Engineer
Job Title: Field Engineer

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Operations & System Optimization
Generate and distribute work orders and testing plans based on production schedules.
Monitor real-time production status and resolve material scheduling issues.
Optimize MES and WMS systems to align with actual production needs.
Promote equipment automation in coordination with on-site machinery.
Optimize SCADA and DCS systems based on production requirements.
Lead the integration and rollout of new systems (e.g., SAP) with existing platforms.
2. Compliance & Team Support
Conduct safety training and identify/rectify hazards in the central control room.
Perform routine inspections of electronic equipment.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Assist the department head in organizing employee training and supporting performance assessment initiatives.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by superiors.

Production plan completion rate
Equipment–SCADA system integration rate
New system application completion rate
Number of safety and environmental incidents
Employee turnover rate
Employee skill training coverage
Requirements
Education & Experience
Vocational degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Automation, Management, or related fields.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience from a battery materials plant, preferably from a cathode active material one.
Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with cathode material processes and automation equipment.
Understanding of production processes, safety, and environmental regulations.
Knowledge of production management, quality control, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in safety operation skills and 5S methodologies.
Strong English and Chinese skills are needed to coordinate with the supervisors and read equipment instructions. Finnish language skills are considered as a plus.

About Easpring New Materials Finland
Easpring Finland New Materials Oy is developing a battery materials plant in Kotka, Southeast Finland. The plant will produce cathode active material (CAM), which is needed to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles (EV’s).
