About The job
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse and internal logistics operations at our Cathode Active Material (CAM) production facility in Kotka, Finland. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate management of raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and plant inventory in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a locally based logistics professional with strong experience in warehouse operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), and warehouse control systems (WCS). Candidates from manufacturing, logistics, distribution, port operations, or industrial supply chain environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, inventory control, internal material movement, and outbound logistics
Ensure safe handling and storage of raw materials and finished products in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
Lead and develop warehouse personnel, including scheduling, training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and system controls
Coordinate closely with production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to support uninterrupted plant operations
Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage utilization to improve operational efficiency
Manage and maintain WMS/WCS platforms to ensure accurate inventory tracking and process visibility
Monitor KPIs related to warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, delivery performance, and safety
Support implementation of lean logistics and continuous improvement projects
Ensure compliance with Finnish safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
Collaborate with external logistics providers, transport companies, and suppliers as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or vocational qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of warehouse or logistics management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong experience with WMS and WCS systems is required
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, chemicals, battery materials, mining, or heavy industry environments is highly preferred
Proven leadership experience managing warehouse teams and operational performance
Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse processes, and material handling operations
Familiarity with ERP systems and digital warehouse tools
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Good language skills in Finnish and English
