Easpring Finland is developing a battery materials plant in Kotka to meet the growing demand for battery materials in Europe. The plant will produce cathode active materials required for electric vehicle batteries.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to support our technical and support functions and help build scalable HR practices during the company's ramp-up phase.
Position Summary
As a Senior HR Specialist – Technical & Support Functions, you will act as the primary HR partner for technical and support functions, including Engineering, Technology, Quality, Laboratory and other business support departments. You will support managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle while contributing to employee relations, workforce planning, compliance, talent development and the development of HR processes and practices.
The role will play an important part in establishing scalable HR practices, supporting organizational growth, strengthening management capability, and ensuring effective people management and employee relations practices during the company’s ramp-up and production expansion phases.
This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys partnering with managers, supporting organizational development and contributing to the growth of a high-performing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle for technical and support functions
Support managers in people-related matters, workforce planning, organizational development and organizational changes
Provide HR guidance and coaching to managers on people management, employee relations and workplace issues
Coordinate outsourced payroll administration, benefits administration and HR-related administrative processes
Support employee relations matters, co-operation procedures and workplace management initiatives
Support employee relations investigations and workplace-related case management when required
Facilitate communication between management and employees to ensure effective information flow
Participate in recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities
Support performance management, employee development and talent-related initiatives
Coordinate and support training, onboarding and capability development activities
Support organizational changes and workforce transitions during ramp-up and production expansion
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and guidelines
Ensure compliance with Finnish labor legislation, collective agreements and company policies
Monitor employee wellbeing and workplace-related concerns and support appropriate actions when required
Contribute to building scalable HR practices, strengthening management capability and driving organizational effectiveness during the company’s growth phase
Respond effectively to employee and business needs in a fast-changing industrial environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
Minimum 5 years of HR experience in industrial, manufacturing or international business environments
Solid understanding of Finnish labor legislation and employee relations practices
Experience supporting managers in employee relations, performance management and workplace matters
Experience in organizational development, talent management or learning and development is considered an advantage
Full professional proficiency in Finnish and English
Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to build trusted relationships across different functions and organizational levels
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
