About Easpring Finland
Easpring Finland is developing a battery materials plant in Kotka to meet the growing demand for battery materials in Europe. The plant will produce cathode active materials required for electric vehicle batteries.
We are looking for an experienced ICT professional to support the growth of our organization and help build a secure, reliable, and scalable ICT environment during the company's ramp-up phase.
Position Summary
As an ICT Specialist, you will have a key role in building, operating, and continuously developing Easpring Finland's ICT environment. You will work closely with the CISO / IT Manager and external ICT partners to establish and maintain the company's network, server, workstation, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services.
This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility. You will not be limited to one narrow technology area. Instead, you will help ensure that the ICT environment works as a reliable whole, supporting office users, production-related functions, partners, and future business growth.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to participate in building a modern hybrid Microsoft-based infrastructure from the ground up, including local network and server services, Microsoft cloud integration, workstation management, backup, monitoring, documentation, lifecycle management, and operational ICT processes.
This role is ideal for a practical ICT professional who has 3 - 5 years of experience with networks, servers, infrastructure services, and day-to-day ICT operations, and who is ready to take ownership of maintaining and improving a growing industrial ICT environment.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in building, operating, maintaining, and developing Easpring Finland's ICT infrastructure
Support the implementation and administration of network, server, workstation, identity, and cloud services
Maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VLANs, routing, VPN connections, and network security controls in co-operation with our ICT partners
Administer server hardware, virtualization platforms, Windows Server environments, storage, and related infrastructure services
Support Microsoft-based infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, and workstation management
Participate in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of secure network segmentation, server environments, backup solutions, monitoring, and logging
Handle incidents, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, reporting, and follow-up actions with our IT Manager
Support lifecycle management of ICT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, certificates, network devices, servers, workstations, printers, and related services
Coordinate and manage external ICT partners, suppliers, service providers, and support vendors with our IT Manager
Maintain ICT documentation, including network diagrams, inventories, configuration records, operational procedures, runbooks, and recovery instructions
Support backup, restore testing, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity activities
Contribute to patching, vulnerability management, access management, information security controls, and technical hardening activities
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into practical ICT solutions
Support the continuous improvement of ICT processes, documentation, reporting, and operational quality
Respond effectively to changing priorities in a growing industrial and manufacturing environment
Requirements
Suitable education in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Several years of hands-on experience in ICT infrastructure, network administration, systems administration, or a similar technical role
Good understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
Experience with network devices, server hardware, virtualization, storage, and server operating systems
Experience with Windows Server environments and common infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, backup, monitoring, and patching
Experience in building, maintaining, or significantly developing network and server environments
Experience working with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, or other Microsoft cloud services is considered an advantage
Experience in ICT partner, vendor, or service provider coordination
Experience in incident handling, troubleshooting, documentation, technical reporting, and follow-up of corrective actions
Understanding of ICT lifecycle management, including asset management, updates, renewals, configuration documentation, and service continuity
Basic understanding of information security principles, including access control, least privilege, patching, backup, monitoring, vulnerability management, and secure configuration
Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIS2, industrial ICT, OT environments, or cybersecurity practices is considered an advantage
