Employer: Easpring Finland New Materials Oy
Location: At the start of employment the workplace is Espoo (temporary laboratory). At the beginning of 2027 the workplace will change to Kotka (permanent laboratory).
Position Overview:
Easpring Finland is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Laboratory Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for routine testing and quality control throughout the production process of lithium-ion battery Cathode Active Materials (CAM), including raw materials, process samples, and finished products. The role involves testing, data recording, and reporting to ensure product quality and the reliability of test results.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform testing of raw materials, process samples, and finished products according to SOPs and approved test methods.
Accurately record, review, and report test results, and promptly identify and report abnormalities.
Assist in the identification, tracking, and handling of non-conforming products and abnormal samples.
Properly operate and maintain laboratory equipment and assist with equipment calibration and routine management.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment (6S), quality management system, and HSE requirements.
Participate in laboratory continuous improvement activities and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
Vocational education, an associate degree, or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or another relevant technical field.
Previous experience in laboratory testing, manufacturing, or quality control is preferred.
Experience in physical or chemical material characterization methods, such as ICP-OES, PSD, or BET, is preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory test methods, analytical instruments, and management systems such as ISO 17025 is preferred.
Good analytical skills, attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good English language communication skills.

Easpring Finland New Materials Oy is developing a battery materials plant in Kotka, Southeast Finland. The plant will produce cathode active material (CAM), which is needed to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles (EV’s).
